Hi, I’m Andrew Jecklin, PMHNP and Owner of Stillpoint Integrative

A Different Kind of Psychiatric Care in Lynchburg
Many people seeking psychiatric care feel caught between two extremes:
- Medication-only approaches that feel rushed or impersonal
- Alternative approaches that lack medical grounding
At Stillpoint, we offer a measured, integrative approach that respects both medical science and the complexity of human experience.
We take time to understand:
- How symptoms developed
- What has (and hasn’t) worked before
- How stress, sleep, and physiology may be contributing
- How medication can be used strategically, not reflexively
Our goal is not endless treatment — it is progress with clarity and direction.
Conditions We Commonly Treat
We work primarily with adults experiencing:
- Anxiety disorders
- Depression and low mood
- Stress-related burnout
- Mood instability
- Medication sensitivity or poor response to prior treatment
We often collaborate with therapists and primary care providers when appropriate.
What to Expect From Care
Comprehensive Initial Evaluation
Care begins with a thorough psychiatric assessment focused on understanding the full picture — not just a checklist of symptoms.
Structured Follow-Up
Treatment typically includes a defined period of follow-up to stabilize symptoms, refine medication strategy, and assess response over time.
Integrative Perspective
When appropriate, care may include:
- Medication optimization
- Sleep and circadian rhythm guidance
- Nervous system regulation considerations
- Lifestyle and physiological contributors to mental health
Every treatment plan is individualized.

We support your health by helping you Feel Good, Find Meaning, and Be Connected.
We treat most areas of mental health across the lifespan (Ages 14-Adult), including:
- Medication Management
- Depression
- Anxiety and Panic Disorders
- Bipolar/Mood Disorders
- OCD
- ADHD
- Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs)
- Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD)

While psychiatric medications can be helpful, they may not always be what’s right for you. Depending on your interest, we can explore areas like:
- Diet and exercise
- Genetic testing
- Lab-work
- Nutritional supplementation (often overlooked and potentially effective solutions)
- Deprescribing (tapering) off of medications such as SSRIs (when appropriate)
- Ketamine Therapy (In office and at home)
Who This Practice Is a Good Fit For
This approach may be right for you if you:
- Want psychiatric care that is thoughtful and unhurried
- Have tried medications before and want a more intentional plan
- Prefer collaboration over quick fixes
- Are looking for care that balances medical expertise with whole-person awareness
